Citizenship Class

Carlos Rosario School offers Citizenship classes for individuals who have applied for U.S. citizenship or are eligible to apply.

In this Class:

You will learn about U.S. history, our system of government, geography, rights and responsibilities, ways to participate in our democracy, and more.
You will prepare for the USCIS citizenship tests and practice for your interview.
We can refer you to legal organizations for legal assistance.
The school will provide technology and online instruction to succeed and study independently.

Citizenship classes meet once each week and students have weekly independent study assignments.

Tuesdays 9:00am-12:00pm
Wednesdays 6:00pm-9:00pm
Saturdays 9:30am-12:30pm

**Interested individuals must attend an advising session and be eligible for English level 3 or have equal or higher English proficiency.

Must have applied for citizenship or be eligible to apply within 6 months
Eligible for ESL 3 or higher
Proof of living in D.C., Maryland or Virginia (read below for a list of acceptable documents)
